Trollmann Av Ildtoppberg are an ambient drone doom band from the UK. The band consists of Thundarr (bass, vocals) and Belegure (keyboards).

(Taken from website) Thundarr Rumblings of Doom Prophecies of Times to Come Exiled as a child from the village of Jjrahknaa and raised by Trolls in the Forest of Gnashing Boughs, Thundarr wanders the wilderness in search of a glorious death in battle.

Mordraaneth Cosmic keys to Gates Unknown Belegur, known in the tongue of the Trolls as Mordraneth, is a gnome, raised in the Forest of the Ancients. The curse of the Ancients fell upon him and he was doomed to play upon his flute for all eternity, far from his kinsmen.

Trollmann av Ildtoppberg (translated: "The Warlock of Firetop Mountain", indicating the band members' love of Fighting Fantasy gamebooks) play ambient drone with a dungeon synth aesthetic. Imagine early Mortiis with an aesthetic derived more from the gamebooks and roleplaying games that the British duo of Belegur and Thundarr loved as opposed to the more idiosyncratic and personal fantasy vision of Mortiis, and then add the sonorous drone of buzzsaw guitar over everything, and you end up with something more or less in the same ballpark as Arcane Ruins Adorn the Ice-Veiled etc etc. Not the best example of this sort of thing, but if you have an affection for the source material that inspired their aesthetic it's a blast.
