Motörizer is the 20th full-length studio album by UK hard rock/ metal act Motörhead. The album was released in August 2008 by Steamhammer / SPV.
The music on the album is powerful and dirty metalized hard rock as usual. The band are as always exceptionally well playing and lead vocalist/ bassist Lemmy sounds as rusty yet vital as ever. Songs like Runaround Man, Teach You How to Sing the Blues and Rock Out are some of the highlights on the album, but Motörhead seem incapable of writing sub par material, so even though not all tracks reach the high standard of the above mentioned ones, there are only good quality material on this album.
The production is powerful and suits the music well.
Motörizer is another kick in the ass by Motörhead. Churning out quality hard rock/ metal albums year after year after year, is no easy task and while you´ll have to look long for innnovation or experimentation, there are some development from album to album, that shouldn´t be overlooked. Creative standstill is not an issue. A 3.5 star rating is fully deserved.
