PIKE 223 - DRAGGING THE FENCE is the 4th album released by BUCKETHEAD in 2016

Released on January 19, 2016

This album is ALL instrumental

BUCKETHEAD plays all the instruments heard

The album clocks in near the 30 minute mark, this one at 29:57

This album contains two tracks with the title track swallowing up 25:18 and “Planted” at only 4:39

The title track starts out very slow like a Marty Friedman new age meets metal track on “Scenes” but not as good or sophisticated in the melodic department. It is OK but nothing more in the beginning. It basically goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on with nothing interesting happening. Yawn. Meh. Boring. Snoozerama. Really?

“Planted” starts out sounding exactly like the previous track. OMG! Just as boring and non-eventful as that one. Mellow guitar, extremely slow tempo, no percussion. This has been done countless times before and once was enough, so yawn! Lame! Worthless album

Yeah, it's a mission not a passion. I basically just wanted to go where no one else dared go. I'm in need of a break for now though. 120plus albums is a lot to digest! I'll get to the rest eventually but not in sprint mode like the last few months!

You are a masochist keeping up with his output. I remember when I first started noticing your reviews on PA. You had such diversity in your tastes that I respected you. Now you are either a Buckethead alcoholic or a very brave soul handling a task that no others would touch. I pray it's the latter and I wish your sanity a safe return.

I think this dude's output goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and...

I got through 2105 and now i can do 2016 as they are released. I'll go back and do the earlier ones at my own leisure but yeah i'm a little ready to review other music! What keeps me going are those few and far between 4 stars albums that are quite good. It's like he has created a huge haystack of mediocrity that we have to go on an Easter egg hunt to find the gems, but yeah, listening to albums like this one makes me wonder what exactly got into me

I admire your persistence and systematic dedication. I consider myself pretty systematic when going through discographies, but I would have gotten bored to death with your task by now, judging by the low quality of much of Buckethead´s output.
