KMFDM's Naive is a reasonable but not brilliant grab-bag of industrial-flavoured dance tracks. Often slotted into the whole industrial metal scene without really sounding very metallic or embracing the musical approaches typically associated with metal, the band do a reasonable job providing danceable beats with lyrics which I can honestly take or leave. Although it's considered a fairly significant album when it comes to KMFDM's musical development, at the same time if you're after metal-tinged industrial material both NIN's debut album and Ministry's The Land of Rape and Honey had preceded this one and kind of blow it out of the water.
