On Scum.Collapse.Eradication Revenge continue the pattern set by previous Revenge albums: crossbreeding the hardest, ugliest, most hateful aspects of black metal and grindcore (the black metal side juuuuust about wins out), the band unleash a lightning-fast assault on the senses. The grunting, pig-like vocals reminiscent of a death metal singer on bath salts complete the picture. In short, this isn't an album which gives much of a toss about accessibility; instead, it declares war on the listener and doesn't let up until the album's done. Not a cheerful album by any means, worth hitting up if you're in the market for a shot of pure adrenaline, but the schtick wears thin after a while.
