"Take A Bite" was the last Girlschool record in the 80s before they went into hiatus and formed two temporary bands, but after recruiting Jackie Carrera to fill in the bass spot, they were soon active again and released this self-titled album in 1992 under the small label, Communiqué.
Girlschool was well-known as NWoBHM band but to me, their music in this album was leaned toward American sleaze glam slam. "My Ambition" opened up with a wild beat and kicks your balls so hard you can't even scream. "One More" and "Can't Do That" rolled with an angry and furious in-your-face rock n' roll. And by the time they unleashed "Can't Keep The Good Girl Down", you probably will dance your ass away and can't stop bang your head, this is the best track of the album which sounded like an unreleased track of Motley Crue.
If you like a raw and naughty 100% pure sleaze rock with no ballad whatsoever, you should take a good listen to these girls because they really know how to play the instruments and rockin' loud. To this day, Girlschool is the longest female rocker band ever existed in the world, so that must be something for you to be accounted for. A good album!
