Nasty Nuns came to my surprise with their aggressive, raw sleaze, and metallic edge. Germany is actually the best place to look for power or thrash metal bands but not sleaze, somehow Nasty Nuns proved my theory wrong. This young band, formed around 2005, written a highly infectious EP, 'Too Much Is Never Enough', in 2010. Crossing between the carnaging wildness of classic Guns N' Roses and the ferocious Bay Area monster, Metallica, Nasty Nuns is breathing fire to the glam scene.

From the pounding opener, 'Born To Live & Die', you know they ain't joking with their music despite of the silly title. Nikki Nine and Mr.Evil provided a thrilling rhythm and furious solo and I know from the first that this type of song is what makes me a fan of rock. 'Car's Gonna Rockin' is more metal, the chorus is anthemic, the second song is still pushing the album forward.

'Sleazy, Nasty, Dirty', another bad choice of title but who cares when they bound the thrashy riffs with a fantastic Verse/Chorus, and not to forget the explosive solos. The vocal and rhythm section is somehow a bit unsynchronized but let's blame it on the production side. 'Come Out Alright' and the title track are great uptempo tunes, more commercial on the chorus and friendly to the radio, both also are my faves, and definitely an interesting album if you like all the songs in it.

This is one of my most fave EP of 2010, I really love the heavier edge of glam, reminds me of Motley Crue's 'Shout At The Devil', but with some thrashy flair. Can't wait for the full release later this year, I wish the band all the best of luck, and with this quality release, they should grow bigger and bigger in the future. One thing that’s been bugging me and I know they know, five songs are just never enough!
