"Know Your Enemies" is a self-released EP by Portugese death metal act Dethmor. The EP was released in September 2011.

6 tracks (including 1 intro) distributed over 18:11 minutes of playing time is what you get with this release. It´s a satisfying running time to get aquainted with the band´s music. Dethmor play death metal with memorable riffs and aggressive deep growling vocals. The tracks aren´t terribly different from each other, but the quality is consistent.

The music isn´t overtly original, the musicianship is so and so and the sound production sounds closer to demo sound quality than to a professional sound production, but still "Know Your Enemies" come up on top. These guys know how to sonically beat their audience to a bloody pulp and that´s always admirable. If they can eliminate some of the weakneses on this release they could go on to really impress me next time. If you enjoy your death metal old school and without too many excursions into other genre territories "Know Your Enemies" is recommendable. A 3 - 3.5 star rating is warranted.
