Not a bad album, this compilation (that I've in CD version with 5 bonus track from Castle Communication). The style is a mix between Hard Rock and Progressive Rock, more unbalanced in favor of a pure Rock and not very Heavy Metal. A fan of Hard Rock will find many moments of joy but a metal fan would not be able to digest all the songs included here. To be honest I find Nazareth more a band of a connection between the 60's White Blues band and 60's Hard Rock/ Glam Rock/ Proto Prog band of 70's that a true Proto Prog band.

Musically Nazareth is a good band, capable of affecting songs with a good technique and very personal style. Although the songs are too tied to the 70's and today is outdated in style, it's really nice listening. In the end I believe that if Cream had not divided, would not be so different from these Nazareth.

In conclusion, if you look for the origins of heavy metal but do not want to delve too much argument, I believe that "Greathest Hits" is another great album.
