Genre: thrash metal

A thrash metal gemstone, "For Whose Advantage" is obviously inspired by the likes of Metallica and Testament. Still Xentrix manages to maintain a high degree of originality, delivering a bunch of songs that are rich in fast paced riffs as well as odd time signatures, unusual harmonies and other elements that fall under the umbrella of technical thrash metal.

This release is in many ways an essential thrash metal record, which captures many of the good things about thrash metal. The musicianship is top notch and there is a certain level of technicality, but still the music is quite aggressive. and with politically and socially conscious lyrics combined with Chris Astley's unrefined, yet oddly melodic vocals, "For Whose Advantage" would be for your advantage if you purchased it.

Recommended to any fan of thrash metal.

I think that the problem was that the fans liked the song too much, so that band just became known as the Ghostbusters band - which is a shame because "Shattered Existence", "For Whose Advantage", and the more melodic "Kin" are prime examples of good thrash metal IMO.

Yeah metal fans are generally very conservative.

I certainly think they're amazing on this album. Unfortunately, people seem to have had problems taking them serious because of that Ghostbusters cover they did.

I only think I´ve heard a single song by Xentrix on a sampler album a long time ago, but it sounds like I´m missing out on something pretty amazing here. I´ll definitely check them out.
