When I first saw the song titles, as well as some of the lengths, on this album I thought it was going to be a prog metal album! Well, was I wrong. Good to see Exodus, one of the first thrash metal bands, (if not the first) still going strong, even if they never get the credit they deserved.

This is a great album. Got everything a thrash fan would want and love. Great riffs, heaviness, blazing solo's, some breaks from the speed, and of course...lots of speed! This is one thrashy album!

The guitar work is superb. The high point of the album. The drumming is thrashy and intense, but nothing to brag about. The bass, not really a factor. Pretty much, this is your standard thrash album. Dual guitar driven intensity! However, I can't say enough how great the guitar work is, and there are some brilliant sections! There are sections of melody as well, just as we'd expect from any good Bay Area thrash band.

The vocals are pretty good as well. Usually thrash has a non pitched yelling, high pitched singing, or clean. These are more of a throaty scream. Intense. Awesome.

So, classic thrash metal album, which is a good thing of course. Amazing guitar work. Can drag a bit at times, and while its great pure thrash, in terms of musicianship not much to write home about. Album overall is a bit long. Some song shortening would have been nice. One last time, awesome guitar work, with intensity pushed with good vocals.
