With a beautifully-crafted melodic hard rock debut, "Different Tomorrow", Dirty Passion was pushed forward to join the rank of great hard rock bands coming from the land of Sweden. Still carrying the same mission of reviving the good ol' times of the 80s, Dirty Passion did a very satisfying job by offering ten non-filler tracks packed with thrilling solo, soaring vocal, tight harmonies, and memorable notes. There's a slight similarity of this band with White Lion and Airless, especially on the guitar parts.

The first three tracks are guaranteed to let you put down your player's remote and sit tight to enjoy the tracks thoroughly. "This Is The Way", a brilliant uptempo tune with superior harmonic chorus, "1.000.000 Voices" is an anthemic pounder with sharp and smooth rhythm, "Rockin' In The Night" is an enchanting tune with massive riffs. Christopher Olsson should be given a lot of credits with his explosive playing on every songs but check out his fine tapping in "A Trip To Paradise", a wonderful commercial-driven hard rock that's hard to hate.

If by any chance you sense some links are missing here, it's probably the mixed feeling of the production value. Emil Ekbladh delivered a very good singing technique, but somehow you can hear the mixing made his voice sounded far and alone, a bit thin, and kinda floaty, making it looks like he's struggling to blend with the rhythm section. The songwriting department has already taken an excellent start, but with experiences later on, I can see a lot of thing might develop into a bigger and better state. Some other tracks I enjoy here are "We're All Gonna Fall", "Liar", and "Selling Your Soul". A promising band I’ll keep my eyes open in the future.

Bottom Line : Shredding and melodies done right!
