Though Helloween, Blind Guardian, and Gamma Ray may be the biggest German power metal bands, there exists Iron Savior. These guys are an underrated group. Here exists their strongest offering yet, 'Condition Red'

No intros or whatnot to start off; we go right into the fast and heroic sounding "Titans of Our Time". Cheesy? Probably. But I find this way more satisfying than the other German PM bands. Then we have mid-paced songs like "Protector" or "Condition Red", and what's a legit power metal album without this type of song? What else does power metal need? Battle anthems like "Ironbound"!

What we don't have are any of those slow tear jerking ballads that nobody seems to like. At all. As we go on, we continue to have more traditional heavy metal inspired power metal like "Mindfeeder" and "Walls of Fire". But the best song here is "Thunderbird". "Thunderbird" is the perfect finale for such an album. It's fast and heroic sounding. Thunderbird, take us there!

A must have for power metal fans.

Sounds like an album/band I need to check out.

For the record though, I like some power metal ballads, and when I say some, I mean Blind Guardian's.

Yeah that´s right. I´ve never met anyone who likes those damn ballads. They may be well composed and bring variation to a power metal album but when I want to listen to power metal I want speed, speed and more speed.
