"Bleeding Profusely" is the debut full-length studio album by US death metal act Gorgasm. The album was released through Extremities Productions in 2001.

The music on "Bleeding Profusely" pretty much continue the brutal death metal style of the "Stabwound Intercourse (1998)" EP. It´s not only the music style that is very similar to the style on "Stabwound Intercourse (1998)", but the actual quality of the music is also kept on a high level. Gorgasm are very well playing and while their Cannibal Corpse influenced style isn´t exactly original, the music is delivered with fierce conviction.

The 11 track, 23:59 minutes long album is a blow to the head with fast blasting parts, über brutal growling vocals and sharp riffing. Songtitles like "Lesbian Stool Orgy", "Fucking the Viscera" and "Post Coital Truncation" tell the story of the gore themed lyrics and imagery better than words. Again this is not exactly original but Gorgasm are damn convincing so it´s a minor issue.

Packed in a brutal and raw sound production "Bleeding Profusely" overall comes off as a really great brutal death metal release and a 3.5 star (70%) rating is deserved.
