Despite the Star Wars theming behind the band name, song titles, and cover art for Bantha Rider's debut EP, don't go into this expecting some sort of cheesy exercise in trite lyrical references - in fact, don't expect lyrics at all, because Bantha Rider are purveyors of all-instrumental stoner metal, the power trio of Bart, Art, and Krzysiek showing an adept command of the subgenre and generating a forceful, powerful groove perfect for those long drives in your landspeeder across the arid deserts of Tattooine. Knocked together in just a couple of days, it's a promising start for the group, recommended for fans of early Kyuss.
