ovidiu This album is a bomb in the prog metal community at this beginning of 2011 year!SIMONE FIORLETTA is a sensational guitar player with 3 amazing solo albums in his pocket and 2 great albums with his prog metal band MOONLIGHT COMEDY,so this new project must have been something like a true accomplishment for this great musician!Expectations were big and all we can say is that WORLDS IN COLLISION doesn't dissapoint at all!Au contraire,how the French are saying-this album is FANTASTIC!Modern and crunchy prog metal,with massive guitar riffs,great keyboard parts,amazing drumming job and majestic vocal parts offfered by some great musicians from VANDEN PLAS,MOONLIGHT COMEDY,THAUROROD,RHAPSODY OF FIRE,LABYRINTH,DGM,among others!Absolutelly thrilling!The technical aspect is stunning-and sometimes it's absolutelly FEROCIOUS!Great rhythm section aswell and the technicity of the drummer shocks!FIORLETTA's interventions are blastering and all this album represents a major succes for this amazing musician from the point of view of the fact that he is in charge with almost everything on WORLDS IN COLLISION -composition,playing,mixing,production!IMPRESSIVE indeed!So,please,pay attention to an album that doesn't dissapoint any prog metal fan-high caliber category here.Modern prog metal with all the usual ingredients ,inspired and remarcably well done under all aspects-more then 1 hour of ear candy!4.5 STARS for a blastering debut!

Time Signature Can't dream anymore...

Genre: progressive metal

This is not a bad album, to be sure, and certainly it is a piece of musical handicraft that the band can be proud off. This being said, I think that the music at times lacks passion, and I especially think that the vocals often seem flat (other times, the vocalist does some brilliantly intricate things, though).

We are dealing with standard progressive metal here, as pioneered by Dream Theater, which means spacey keyboards, guitar wankery, weird riffs, odd time signatures, genre boundary breakdowns, ballady interludes, compelx song structures and melodic choruses. Basically, all the good stuff. Still, No Gravity are by no means a Dream Theater clone, as they have a much heavier sound than Dream Theater, and No Gravity's music is more accessible generally.

Most of the tracks are good on this albums, although the keyboards and, as mentioned, the vocals, can be a bit distracting at times. For my money, the highlight of the album is the 10+ minutes long final tracks "Unexpected Gift" with its long instrumental sections and complex riffage.

A good progressive metal album, recommended to fans of progressive metal.
