HAJI'S KITCHEN picture
formed in 1992 or 1993 (official page is not even sure) by Derek blakley, Eddie Head, Brett Stine, and Clint Barlow. at the time of the form, they didnt even have a name, that was until one day Eddie came into the recording studio with his much loved (but extremely smelly) indian food. Netherless the band smelled it, and Clint has the gaw to say, "Damn.. it smells like Haji's Kitchen in here". the name stuck. in the bands early days, they played mostly instrumental songs, until one day they borrowed Eddie Ellis from Tommy Lamey to sing on a few tracks. he was later let go from Tommy, and joined full time.afterwards in 1994, Clint left the band and Rob Stankiewicz, also of Tommy Lamey, to fill the gap. this is the line up to later be signed to Shrapnel Records and release their debut album. sometime later, another read more...

Twenty Twelve is the third album to be released by Haji's Kitchen and the first album to be released in over a decade since Suckerpunch in 2001, this album is classified as a demo rather than a full length album due to the first half of the album being consisted of 6 vocals tracks and 2 instrumental pieces while the other half of the album is the vocal tracks in instrumental form. Three of the tracks were released previously before 'Day after Day' and 'Lost' which were released on an English Adaptation of one of the Dragonball Z films and 'Notch' was released separately, but the way they were delivered on this album were pretty good even though I found 'Notch' to be quite weak compared to the original. Current Tesseract vocalist Daniel Tompkins delivered his diverse voice rather well on this album especially on the track 'Define the Lie' which to me was the main highlight of the album, this is a good effort by Haji's Kitchen after all this time but to me I'd see this as a fan only buying album rather then one you would just buy in a music shop if it caught your eye, worth a listen in my opinion.
