Stephen Sencelled, an unordinary name but musically friendly to the ears. Another Swedish band to pack the melodic rock scene, but this time they chose a more modern direction, and implemented a simple song structure which somehow reminds me of many American young pop/punk bands, but very addictive and they enhanced it with subtle vocal harmonies and decent guitar solos.

The intention of this album is obviously to have some fun and that's depicted clearly in extremely catchy and sing-along choruses. From the opening tune, 'Breathe Out', right to the next two tracks, 'I Love The Way You Are' and 'Wild One', Sencelled drops a quick reminder to the listeners that they didn't want any complexity in their songs but what's important is that they want to unleash the crazy euphoric mood out of ourselves.

Check out songs like 'One Night Stand' or 'I Wanted You' and I can tell that their mission is a success. 'Tommy & Gina' borrowed the characters from Desmond Child's penned track on Bon Jovi's third album and also another great track here, I love it. 'Miracle' and 'Carry On' are also very listenable and perhaps only 'Oh Sarah' and 'Things I Feel' which I think are a bit let down, even though they're still pretty okay too.

Not a ground-breaking earth-shattering type of album, but I do enjoy this album. For fans of easy-listening car-driving companion kind of music, Sencelled is a must try, but heavy metal fans might feel this one can be too poppy for their taste. Think of band like 7th Heaven and that could be the closest comparison. Songs like these probably has been done zillion times, but being predictable isn't a sin, and at the end of the days, great songs eventually win.
