Not fundamental but great Ep, this 'Freedom Call'. Intersting is the cover and interesting is the music, a sort of Speed Symphonic Power Prog Metal. In truth 'Freedom Call' is not a pure Prog Metal Ep's because also if Prog is evident the songs 'Freedom Call' is more good as a good examples of Revival Classic Metal. Is evident, at the same time, that Angra is one of the point of force of Classic Metal Revival movement and one of the best Melodic Symphonic Prog Metal band.

'Freedom Call' is more a great Speed Power Metal song but in my opinion have only strong connection with Prog Metal. Another good song is the remixed version of 'Queen Of The Night', a pure Prog Metal song. The orchestral version of 'Stand Away' is good, even if too predictable. 'Painkiller' is good as a cover but in this version the slaughterhouse sound, the power and the magic of the original version (sure one of my preferred all time Heavy Metal song) is not comparable to the original: Angra is not a pure Power Metal band... And this fact is evident in this version of 'Painkiller'. 'Reaching Horizon' and 'Deep Blue' is the another two songs of this Ep.

That 'Freedom Call' is not a priority in your collection of Angra's discography is evident. In any case 'Freedom Call' is a good Ep, with good Prog Speed Power Metal.
