"Demo II" is a demo release by Finnish death metal act Disembody. Because of the title of the demo I´m assuming that this is the band´s second demo, but I´m not sure as there is currently next to no information about Disembody to be found anywhere. The demo was independently released in 1993.

The demo features four tracks of old school death metal. In standard Finnish style for the time, this is dark, grim, brutal and shifts between fast-paced, brutal mid-paced grooves, and ultra heavy doom/death metal parts. Disembody are well playing and the demo features a decent sound production. The songwriting is relatively memorable and effective too. The occasional melodic lead part (and even more rarely an atmosphere enhancing keyboard part) ensures that the gloomy old school death metal is kept varied enough for the listener to keep listening.

There´s nothing here you haven´t heard before and you´ve heard it both more unique and better too, but when that is said Disembody actually delivers a pretty good quality demo here and a 2.5 - 3 star (55%) rating is warranted.
