"Deceased" is the debut full-length studio album by US, Wisconsin based death metal act Accidental Suicide. The album was released through Deaf Records/Peaceville Records in October 1992. Accidental Suicide was a relatively shortlived act, who formed in 1989 and only released this album before disbanding.

The music on "Deceased" is old school death metal. It´s acts like Deceased, and because of the many doomy parts, especially Autopsy that come to mind. Filthy, raw and gritty old school death metal with a doomy edge. Songtitles like "Flesh Parade", "My Dangling Corpse", and "Homocidal Entrails" along with the (rather ridiculous) band name also point in that direction.

It´s competent enough and "authentic" sounding too, but the songwriting isn´t the most interesting and very few tracks on the album stand out as memorable. The sound production also leaves quite a bit to be desired. For the most part I actually enjoy the rather lo-fi and raw mix, but that drum sound more or less ruins my listening experience. Add to that the fact that drummer Chris Kinkerski isn´t the most skilled drummer around and that part of the music just ends up being very hard to appreciate. Thankfully lead vocalist Ed Jackson saves a bit of the day with his very convincing growling delivery so even though the quality of the product is a bit up and down, there are some redeeming factors that in the end make this a relatively decent listen. A 2.5 - 3 star (55%) rating is warranted.
