UMUR "Rejoice in Vengeance" is the 3rd full-length studio album by Danish, Silkeborg based death metal act Dawn of Demise. The album was released through Unique Leader Records in June 2012. It´s the successor to "A Force Unstoppable" from 2010 and features one lineup change since the predecessor as drummer Kim Jensen has been replaced by Simon Blaabjerg.

Stylistically the material on "Rejoice in Vengeance" is brutal groove laden death metal and it´s a natural continuation of the style found on "A Force Unstoppable". The tracks feature many tempo changes and breaks, thrash influenced riffs, melodic guitar solos, ultra heavy breakdowns (slam death style), and two brutal growling vocal styles. One is a little more aggressive than the other and sligthly intelligible, while the other growling vocal style is a "hand over mike" type delivery which is unintelligible. So very little has changed since "A Force Unstoppable". The sound production is slightly more polished (but still raw and brutal) and the tracks are maybe a little less memorable, but other than that "Rejoice in Vengeance" is another powerful, brutal, groove laden, and effective death metal release by Dawn of Demise.

It doesn´t quite reach the heights of "A Force Unstoppable" and that´s of course a little disappointing, but it´s still a solid groove laden death metal release performed by a skilled and seasoned band. A 3.5 star (70%) rating is deserved.
