TRÖJAN picture
Wigan-based outfit, formed in 1982, with the correct umlauts over the letter o, helpfully proclaiming their main influence to the world.

Unfortunately, by adding the umlaut, they changed their name from Trojan, a fearsome warrior, to Tröjan, Swedish for shirt.

They managed several demos and an appearance on one of the most important NWoBHM compilations, Ebony Records' "Metal Maineaxe", before belatedly releasing their debut and only LP, before that all-important slide into obscurity.
