Profound is a melodic death metal band from Velden am Wörthersee in Carinthia, Austria.
Formed in 1997, Profiund preceeded its 2004 debut album with a couple of demos; Sick Society (2001) and Prisoner of the Eternity (1999).
Profound is currently on a hiatus, but does get together occasionaly for a live show.
