Aerith is an American melodic death metal band, featuring Aborted drummer Ken Bedene, who also plays guitars and keyboards with the band, as well as bassist Frank Bedene and vocalist Aaron Green. The name Aerith comes from the original Japanese name for the character Aeris from the Square Enix videogame Final Fantasy VII. The band was made so the members could pay tribute to the classic Gothenburg style of melodic death metal, made famous by the likes of In Flames, Dark Tranquility and At the Gates. Their self-titled EP was released in January 2018.
