Amaranthine Trampler is the funeral doom solo project of the prolific Lee Paxton (of House Of Clouds, Electric Nadir and Imaginary Friend). The project has been active since 2004, and so far only consists of a 2004 debut album and a 2006 split.
The band's sound is made up of slow, heavy guitar riffs and a thumping rhythm section consisting of bass and a drum machine. The vocals are often haunting and lend a horrifying quality to this solid doom project.
Recommended for fans of doom and gothic metal.
