SUPER STRING THEORY is a high energy, instrumental progressive metal band from the Sprinfield,Missouri area who have been playing together since the spring of 2002.The band is comprised of members Aaron Roten (guitar), Steve Mason (drums), Jimmy Pitts (keyboards) and Rick Stansfield (bass).
In 2003 the band released their debut album "Swimming in the Dutch Mordant" and in 2006 released their sophomore album "Principles of Transformation".
Super String Theory has been cultivating what they call "free-range-rock-fusion"; music that flows freely, blends multiple influences and styles and breaks through the fences that surround and separate music with easily definable terms. Super String Theory has developed a technical yet progressive instrumental metal sound.
