Lassie The Cat was a progressive death metal band from Riga in Latvia, formed in 2006. Lassie The Cat disbanded in 2011.

The band Lassie the Cat was founded in the end of year 2006 in Latvia, Riga. Time passed, band members changed and in the year 2009 the current lineup with a new bass player, guitarist and drummer was formed. Thereby the main route for Lassie the Cat had just began – band went on a Baltics tour with the band Cilice from the Netherlands and after that recorded its first EP under the guidance of Gints Lundbergs, who is truly responsible for many great Latvian metal band records.
