Golem were and experimental death metal band formed in Odense, Denmark, in the early 90s. They were part of the early 90s wave of Danish death metal. Their experimental style eventually became their downfall, since the local audience at the time was not ready for that approach to death metal. Their bass player later joined the locally popular melodeath act Mindmare.
