EPICA was a progressive metal band from Venice, Italy, formed in 1990. A demo was recorded in 1992. In 1995, with a line-up consisting of Alessandro Secchi (vocals), Alessandro Mantelli (keyboards), Alessandro Crovato (guitars), Flavio Miotto (bass) and Gianni Ghezzo (drums), they hit the recording studio. The end result was the full length album Confini, issued by Italian label Pick Up Records the same year, with the track Credimi also appearing on Pick Up Records' label compilation, Electric Minstrels the same year. The band folded not long after this. Vocalist Secchi would later resurface in Italian progressive metal band Moonlight Circus. The band reformed in 2011.
