This album, if you even just look at the songs, you will notice that almost EVERY OTHER SONG is an interlude. I both find this annoying, but also wicked. I love it when albums have a bunch of interludes. It is a bummer that they dont do this for later albums.

The album goes for a Rock/Metal Opera feel and I surprisingly love it. The lyrics and the melodies are unique, and totally get stuck in your head, like the chorus to Boeing '93, the pre-chorus on Ocho the Lovebud, the verses on Charmer, or the breakdown/chorus on Abracadabra.

Individual track notes. Charmer, track 21, holds an very upbeat and happy sound. I am not sure how to describe it (i suck at describing things) but it is a lovely song. Ocho the Lovebud track 6, has an introduction which i kind of hate, but its short and the song is kick ass. The pre-chorus is such a nice build up for the chorus, with a unique sound, but also not being anti-climatic. The end of one of the later repeats of the chorus really just hits (3:55). Boeing '93, track 4, is really clever with its lyrics. The chorus, "Mayday! Mayday! We're going down!" really works with the title and theme of the entire track, as well as the miscellaneous ambience heard over the track, seemingly progressively more audible. The later part includes lyrics such as "Why is everyone crying", followed by the singer imitating a young girl's voice saying "I'm too pretty to die", which really helps to put the idea of crashed flight into your mind, and also oddly adds a emotional connection to it. San Michele, track 23, is a nicer more acoustic track, where the singer sings from both a girls voice and a mans, resembling a man and wife singing together, as in an opera.

Favorite track: Ocho the Lovebud Least favorite track: CPR (Ignoring interludes)

This album is full throttle and heavy throughout. Every song is heavy and kick ass, and the guitar riffs are CRAZY. The album remains consistent with these. The album, and the band overall, 's lyrics dance around the corruption of modern times, war and politics.

Individual track notes. Vicious Reign The song speaks about an abusive relationship, with lyrics like "You let him play his games", "Run away, just get away from this pain", and early on it says "Don't you let him get his hands on you", which soon changes to "Don't you let me get my hands on you". God Head The song starts with a calm mandolin(?), ambience and what sounds like a speech given at a church talking about us all being full of sin and us needing to "let the light of god into our horrible children, or they will burn" which immediately cuts to the heavy metal instrumentals with the singer screaming "BURN!" Reclamation sings about there only being one nation, and that nation needing to take out all the others, or, as the lyrics say, the nation is needing to "Purify". "One nation, run you gun! Bring 'em down, need to purify". At 2:25 it has a mellow down segment which immediately kicks into a INCREDIBLY heavy segment. Chemical Mind speaks about drugs and shit of course, and also the loss of control. "Someone tell me, what do you do when your out of control? When your mind gets no control, when the pills can't help you, and only hide you, when you cant face life!" Too Little Too Late This song constantly switches from calm unplugged guitars and singing, then back to heavy heavy riffs and drums. "Don't tell me I'm wrong, and you have it right! Don't tell me I'm wrong, don't tell me I'm wrong!"

Favorite track: God Head Least favorite track: (can't decide)

This is a great, much lighter metal album. Though it is still heavy, the album experiments with higher pitch, delicate singing amongst the scream-like vocals. This choice of having these light sing-song vocals works very well with the theme the album goes for: High school love story, and self-doubt

The lyrics commonly go over this theme, some songs more than others, and overall the album fits the theme of old high school love and nostalgia. The best example of this is the last song on the album.

Individual track notes.* Trifecta directly goes into the idea of being in love, but also having a heavy self-doubt, and even self hatred? Lyrics saying things like "Soon you'll love me", "The murder of me", and primarily "I'm the biggest you've ever seen, biggest mess you'll ever know". The end of the song is a long stretch of a guitar note and two different vocal recordings: One of the singer doing the light delicate long singing, and one of the singer screaming things like "Where did you go!? What did you want from me! No!", both vocals feeling very heartfelt. 8th Grade Crush goes straight into the idea of seeing your 8th grade crush, now in high school, with one side being ashamed, and the other still hopelessly in love. Like the girl is avoiding the boy, but the boy is still in love. Lyrics that go with this 'hopelessly in love' theme include "I've fallen in love all over again. I'm grown, so grown.", and "Love you like a lover so I see you like others", while the ones that show the girl avoiding the boy include "Girl, I know I'm in your sight", and "Lowered head, down the hall".

Favorite track: either 'Benjamin, Kill Your Genius' or '8th Grade Crush' Least favorite track: Rachet

This album is just great no matter what. This album is incredibly heavy and kicks ass.

This is the band Element Eighty's first album, and 4 of the songs were remade for their self titled released 2003. This album is just really good and raw and I love it.

Individual Track Notes. Yankee Cake has a really neat verse flow, with its singing and its drumming, with the hi-hats. The song speaks about being betrayed and being better off without them. "And you call yourself a fucking friend?", "I'm insane, I loathe you. I'm alone, and better off without you". Painmaker, like with a decent amount of E80's early tracks, has multiple notable moments where the singing and the guitar riff sync up, like the pre-chorus, "Body Ache, Forsake, Penetrate, this fucking pain". A better example of this would be in Bloodshot or Pancake Land Frustrated perfectly transitions into R & M and it works very well. R & M's chorus is incredibly good and catchy.

All the songs have incredibly good and even catchy(?) guitar riffs.

Favorite track: R & M Least favorite track: Echo Song

I have no idea why I love this album so much, but damn I love it. The album is themed around Christianity and gospel(?) but, unlike other Christian bands, instead of dancing around the positives of it all, it plunges into the poison womb of the negatives and corruption.

The album, in my eyes, themes itself around an early ages Christian setting, and the songs fit into that with their lyrics, and the keyboard synth in the background, commonly resembling organs.

Individual track notes:

Cannibal is a great example of the album going into the dark and corrupt side of Christianity. This song, as the title somewhat implies, is revolving around cannibalism, specifically feasting on our own children. The song showcases a sound of regret towards the end, with lyrics like "Father, what have I done!", as if they are recognizing their sins and how its too late to change, they've already been damned. Also shown in lyric "We fashion a new generation, who thinks like us, speaks like us, kills for us. Through them we will not die", which I believe refers to that their legacy will not die, and be passed on through their children, if they didn't eat the shit out of them.

Harlot's Womb is just a great full throttle fast paced track. The keys in this track add a lot, even though they are very subtle. NOTE I do not know shit about the bible, I don't know who Emily and Apollyon and Babylon is. (Apollyon referred to in Harlots Womb, Babylon in Drop The Bomb, Emily in Dying Young)

Judas is a great and remarkable song. This song of course goes on about the story of Judas, specifically the betrayal of Jesus. Notable lyrics like "See you standing sober, cutting out my fathers eyes" and "You're like a son to me". The second verse goes right into the betrayal.

Favorite track: Judas. Least favorite track: Morgan Freeman.
