About this release

Recorded & mixed at Unisound Recordings in early September 1994.
Produced by Katatonia.
Engineered by Dan Swanö.

Released as a slim-case album and LP; out of print.
There exists also a version with a white logo and title on the cover artwork and
a silver CD with red imprints instead of a white CD with purple imprints that is
supposedly limited to 100 copies.

Morbid Noizz 1995 MC (Poland)
note: LP ltd edition (12" maxi-single pic disc) 1500 copies

Re-released on vinyl together with "Brave Murder Day" by Century in 2009: 150
orange and 350 yellow.

This is an EP that Katatonia put out to tide over their fans who were eagerly awaiting the followup to their debut, Dance of December Souls. It isn't quite as interesting as the material on that album - it's a clutch of competently done death-doom pieces that don't quite have the gravitas of the December Souls material - so putting this out as an EP was probably the right call. Dan Swanö of Edge of Sanity guests once again, though he only provides the engineering rather than making the sort of keyboard contributions which he spiced up December Souls with. On the whole fun, but not one I would give top priority to.
