A Nunslaughter side project of sorts, Nekrofilth draws on the dingy and dirty backrooms of the huge thrash metal building. With silly lyrics that are only mildly amusing to me, Nekrofilth may come across as an unserious band - and they probably are.

But that does not mean that they are a shit band. The music on "Worship Destruction" definitely stands its ground. It is filthy, dirty and primitive, and full of pretty damn solid riffage which rocks hard. There is a bit of Hellhammer, a bit of D.R.I. and a bit of Discharge (check the d-beating in 'Get Fucked'), and a lot of ass-kicking. Even Slayer seems to be a source of inspiration as heard in 'Jerusalem Decay'.

The vocals are angry and hardcorish, and the production is deliberately lo-fi and crunchy, suiting the music perfectly.

Dirty and filthy, Nekrofilth's "Worship Destruction" should appeal to fans of primitive punk thrash, and, even if you do not like the lyrics, the you should, if you are into that type of music, be able to enjoy the riffage and the energy of the music itself anyhow.
