"Tremendous Pain" is a 2-track single release by Swedish death metal act Grave. The single was released through Century Media Records in 1991. The two tracks featured on the single were recorded in October 1990 at Nobel Studios in Bielefeld, Germany. Both tracks were also included on the "Promo 91" demo release. Century Media Records payed for the demo recording, which gave them an oppportunity to decide if they wanted to sign Grave.

Neither "Tremendous Pain" nor "Eroded" made it unto Grave´s 1991 debut full-length studio album "Into the Grave" (Century Media Records, August 1991). In that light this single was a valid release back in 1991, which gave fans an early taste of what they were gonna hear on "Into the Grave" (or at least material in a similar style). The "Promo 91" demo (and of course the two tracks on the "Tremendous Pain" single) features a more polished and clear sound than the preceding demo material by Grave, and it´s not really the best representation of the dark, brutal, and rotten death metal sound of Grave. It´s still a quality recording though and a 3 - 3.5 star (65%) rating is warranted.
