"Stupid Humanity" is the first demo recording by Swedish death metal act Centinex. The demo was independently released in March 1991. Centinex formed in 1990 and their initial run lasted until 2006 and they released quite a few albums and minor releases in that period.

This first demo shows a band playing a hardcore/grindcore influenced extreme metal style, which can´t really be labelled death metal, although the vocals are certainly extreme. This is much closer to a band like Cryptic Slaughter and early Hellhammer than it is to Entombed and their ilk. The demo features 10 tracks and a total playing time of 14:10 minutes and that of course means that all tracks are relatively short and some don´t sound fully developed.

The sound production is decent for a 1991 demo and suits the raw and simple material well. Upon conclusion "Stupid Humanity" isn´t the most interesting or innovative extreme metal release from the early 90s Swedish scene, and considering that it was released in 1991 it actually sounds a bit dated, but it´s enjoyable enough while it plays. A 2.5 star (50%) rating is warranted.
