I saw Kittie sing Charlotte on a late night metal TV show. They looked sweet but were spitting, acting like witches and had Gothic clothing. I was drawn in to find out more. This album is as brutal as females can get at the time. There is a growling death roar and this is balanced with lovely soft girl vocals. When Kittie sing softly and dream like rhythms cascade they are irresistible.

The enchantresses mesmirise with aggressive guitar squeals and crunches, and these are enhanced by some wonderful vocals. Occasionally the girls curse their way through a song, scream and growl and tell unknown assailants to get the f**k away from me, and here they lose my interest completely. But a lot of the songs are laced with innovative lyrics and incredible nail gun edgey distorted riffs.

Best songs are Spit, Charlotte, Brackish, Choke, Paperdoll and Immortal. They remind me of a super charged version of Skulker or Hole. They look great , they sound brutal, they deliver everytime. Check ‘em out It is not Kittie litter!
