Warthur
On Sabbatrinity, Sabbat put out 10 stripped down and dirty songs which underscore their position as Japan's answer to early Venom. Don't expect anything wildly complex this time around, but if you are into pre-Norwegian black metal with a dirty thrash sound to it then you are going to be well-served here. The decent production standards, rather than excessively cleaning up and polishing Sabbat's sound, showcase just how grimy and sordid it is. Raw, primitive, and delving deep into the bloody roots of the subgenre, Sabbatrinity doesn't reinvent black metal so much as it unabashedly celebrates it, and if you're in the mood for an album which recaptures the spirit of the first wave of black metal it works a treat.
