The band's name may not make any sense, but there's a beautiful logic to Silent Stream of Godless Elegy's musical style on Relic Dances. Gothic rock has occasionally drawn on folk rock from time to time (see, for instance, the work of All About Eve), so why shouldn't gothic metal of the beauty and the beast style draw on folk metal? That's what these enterprising Czechs do, and the blend of the two styles gives them a unique sound - which in the crowded world of beauty and the beast metal is a rare advantage. If this is what a Silent Stream sounds like, then give me more of them sounds of silence...
