Kreator deliver a hard, aggressive brace of Satanic thrash metal tracks on Phantom Antichrist. Clearly not content to rest on their laurels, Kreator sound just as enthusiastic for their art as they did back in the 1980s, as though their hunger for creative breakthroughs and critical success has never abated. It's unusual for a band who've played this long and enjoyed the high profile and success that Kreator have to still retain this level of enthusiasm, and Phantom Antichrist benefits from it magnificently. With their sound continuing to evolve, Kreator make a powerful case that they remain a band to watch.
