"Forgotten Existence" is a demo release by UK, Coventry based death metal act Bolt Thrower. The demo was independently released in 1988. It´s the first recording featuring lead vocalist Karl Willets after he replaced Alan West.

The demo only features one track and it was probably recorded for the band to be able to hear how Willets sounded on tape as "Forgotten Existence" had already been recorded and released with West on vocals on the September 1987 "Concession of Pain" demo. As it turns out Willets at this point doesn´t sound much different from West and Bolt Thrower are still playing a thrash metal/hardcore hybrid style, which is far removed from death metal.

The sound production is decent for a demo, but there´s absolutely nothing groundbreaking or above standard quality about this demo and therefore a 2.5 star (50%) rating is warranted.
