"For Faen!" (English translation "Damn it!") is the 3rd full-length studio album by Norwegian thrash metal act Blood Tsunami. The album was released through Indie Recordings in March 2013. The band features among others former Emperor drummer Faust.

The music on the album is aggressive thrash metal with the occasional nod towards crossover thrash. The tracks are predominantly fast-paced and energetic, but there are occasionally mid-paced and heavy grooves thrown in for variation. The vocals are raw and delivered with fierce conviction and the instrumental part of the music is also played by musicians who know how to handle their instruments. Even though the material are generally of a high quality, not all tracks stand out equally much and that´s a minor issue with the album. Highlights to my ears are "Butcher of Rostov" and "The Brazen Bull", which are also both among the longer tracks on the album (both clocking in at around 4 minutes in length). Several tracks are shorter than 2 minutes in length.

"For Faen!" is very much an "in your face" type of thrash metal release. Raw, aggressive and straight forward. It´s not completely devoid of sophistication though and there are several great compositional ideas on display. When you add to that the great musicianship, and the powerful and raw sound production "For Faen!" comes off as a quality thrash metal release in the more raw end of the spectrum. A 3.5 - 4 star (75%) rating is deserved.
