"Demo 2010" is the debut demo by Danish alternative/groove metal act Sizewear. Before 2009 the band worked under a different constellation and as far as I know also under a different monicker.

The music on the 4 tracks on the demo, is reminiscent of the style of music that Machine Head played in the late nineties albeit slightly less sophisticated. That means alternative metal with shugging groove metal riffing and breakdown styled heavy riffs. The lead vocalist in Sizewear has a pretty similar voice and singing style to Rob Flynn (Machine Head, Vio-Lence). The sound production is decent considering that this is a demo and the musicianship are generally on a good level.

The songwriting could have been a bit more original and I guess that´s the issue I have with "Demo 2010". The band will need to find a more distinct and recognisable sound for future releases if they want to stand out from the crowd. Other than that this is a good quality demo recording and a 3 star (60%) rating is warranted.
