The Spotlight Kid
Lost Soul are a criminally underrated Death Metal band from Poland. They have always sounded like a colossus but on Atlantis:The New Beginning everything reaches a new level of perfection. The ferocity as always is there and this is a band that sounds like men playing death metal not angry teenagers like so many bands do these days. Yet they are also rich with exciting hooks and melodies built into their absolute killer onslaught. It's still brutal technical death metal to the foundations, but they manage to seamlessly fuse it with so much memorable melody and power and done at such a high level of expertise it's hard to understand why these guys aren't one of the biggest names in Death Metal. This album is a powerhouse of brutality and melody and epic savagery. It's like having your teeth punched out while receiving the best orgasm of your life. If you love it technical and brutal but with hooks and melody and oh so damn epic then don't sleep on this monster of an album.
