Abrah Kadavrah - Ma Belle Scalpelle is a compilation album by Swedish death/ thrash metal act Defleshed. The release contains the band´s 1994 EP Ma Belle Scalpelle and their debut full-length studio album Abrah Kadavrah from 1996. The original EP and album were released on Invasion Records while this 2000 re-release was released through Hammerheart Records.

The compilation starts with the 10 tracks from Abrah Kadavrah and then continues with the 5 tracks from Ma Belle Scalpelle. As an extra feature you get two bonus tracks which are live versions of Mary Bloody Mary and In Chains and Leather. So the whole thing clocks in at 53:44 minutes.

Defleshed play a kind of fast-paced brutal death/ thrash metal with tongue in cheek gory lyrics. The style is pretty much the same on the EP and on the album tracks but the production is a bit better on album tracks. The two live tracks are allright but nothing special to my ears.

This compilation is a great way to get those two early releases by Defleshed. The original releases were probably only pressed in a very limited amount of copies, so this is the easiest way to get a hold of them.
