ovidiu Debut album for this new project of TONY HARNELL-the former brilliant vocalist of the great band from NORWAY-TNT!This guy has an exceptional voice-one of the best in today's music -and I must say that here in STABREAKER-he found the perfect opportunity to plenty express his huge talent!We can call this band a supergroup because all the other musicians are TOP CLASS-especially MAGNUS KARLSSON-the guitar genius from SWEDEN - the main composer of this album is a monster-drummer JOHN MACALUSO is a fabulous musician too and FABRIZIO GROSSI is very efficient and performant too!The instrumental track DRAGONFLY is really spectacular and gives us the frenzy and flavor of an ARK composition!Great musicianship and wonderful compositions from the first to the last track !The production could it be better-it's not at all a bad one-but on the next album STARBREAKER-the sound is trully sensational!!!All tracks are very muscled and metal is the law here!From midtempo and catchy uptempo anthems to soulful ballads-this album is very complete,diverse and inspired , we have almost 1 hour of pure delightment!Old rockers are never dissapointing and this new musical project has many bright years ahead!Great album ,made by true wonderful musicians and a new musical triumph for FRONTIERS RECORDS-ITALY a label that delivers only high quality products! 4.5 stars -the 0.5 minus is because of the production!

ovidiu Album numer 2 for this sensational band,made of some fantastic musicians which had an impressive debut that proves the fact that Tony Harnell-former vocalist in TNT and WESTWORLD,still has many bullets to shoot!I never thought that the magic of the first album will be surpased by the following of it!This LOVE'S DYING WISH has all the ingredients to be superior to the brilliant debut one!The production is excellent too,but the compositions seems a little better thet the ones from STARBREAKER!MAGNUS KARLSSON-this musical genius-is here on top of his form,delivering some sensational solos-as usual-and great power riffs,catchy compositions and fantastic choruses!Harnell sings perfectly well,this music fits perfectly well with his impressive musical vocal register-from wonderful power ballads to muscled tracks-punchy and "in your face"! Macaluso is a monster drummer-on this album he really shines and the new bass player-Johnni Lightfoot...from AIR SUPPLY-is very,very efficient!Great album,perfectly listenable from the first to the last track-and it's rare in today 's music to have such a high quality album-no weak track on the album!!!Almost PERFECT.Strong 4.5 STARS !!!

Stephen There's a big talking in the 2004 of which Tony Harnell will collaborate in an ambitious project with Magnus Karlsson where the European melodic rock will be unified with the glorious heavy metal into a melodic metal beast called Starbreaker. When the album came out in 2005, it received rave reviews across the internet and to me, Starbreaker didn't let down and delivered what the fans were hoping for, the roaring melodic screamer with the intense blazing guitars.

"Die For You" opened with an exciting distorted vocal and a bit of ethnic drops, "Lies" swayed with a vibrant aggressive tones, and "Underneath A Falling Sky" is a triumphant big chorus track with crunchy riffs. Spin it once and you might hear a close similarity on each track but after several spins, every song will sparkle its own unique beam and give you a different reason to love.
