Harmony was formed in 2000 in Borås Sweden by guitarist Markus Sigfridsson and drummer Tobias Enbert, the two were also joined by Henrik Båth on vocals. They recorded a demo in 2001 that received great reviews and also got them signed to German label Massacre Records in 2002.

Their debut album "Dreaming Awake" was recorded during 2002 and released in 2003 on Massacre. The band had created an album full of great melodic metal and at this time they had a complete line-up with Magnus Holmberg and Andreas Olsson on bass. During the existence of Harmony they have played a lot of shows in Sweden, but also in Norway and Finland.

And after a few years of recording silence Harmony returned with their new album "Chapter II: Aftermath". The album is recorded in different studios around Sweden, it is mixed by Pelle Saether [ACT, Skyfire] and mastered by Göran Finnberg

This is my first connection with what is called Christian power prog metal!Well,I most say that I am really impressed by the quality of the music performed by this excellent Swedish Christian band! They play a very well done power prog metal ,very catchy and extremely interesting mixture of power riffs and great keyboard parts!Sometimes it's neoclassical oriantated, sometimes we have massive riffs and true power metal ingredients, but everything is so solid, mature and passionated!Everything is under a sensational production made, and sometimes it reminds me about EVERGREY- a fabulous Swedish band in dark prog power metal! What makes trully attractive at HARMONY is the passionate interpretation,a touch of dramatic display of the musical ideas and a great atmosphere!I really like the voice of the singer,it fits perfectly well with the musical direction! The songs are inspired by the Holy Book and this goes excellent with the elaborated music! The uptempo songs are loaded with killer duels between the guitar and keyboards and the midtempo one, definitelly they have a majesty and monumental touch!Great album, loaded with excellent compositions, all very listenable and catchy-an album without a weak song.Well done and the conclusion that HARMONY have a major potential to offer great music in the years to come!4 well deserved stars!

WOW.

Okay. I understand that this album and band is a new offering. But it is virtually a crime that they are not well-known yet! Since you MUST check this album out, here's what to expect. Harmony plays very friendly melodic metal. Nothing harsh, no screaming vocals or dissonance in the vocals. A few of the songs are fast, like the intro track (which is actually a song, not just keyboard orchestration like most intros) and "Eternity." Others focus on mid-paced melodies. As mentioned, there are plenty of keyboards and wind arrangements. Lyrics are blatantly Christian; that's okay if you're a believer or if you're just open-minded in general. These guys are label-mates with Human Fortress; if you like them check out Harmony! This is one of the better records I've heard this year. My favorites include Eternity, Without You, and Remember.
