Genre: Satanic hardcore

Fuck Christ and Mary! This has got to be the most awesome opening lines over on any release in the history of rock music!

Featuring members of Nunslaughter and Midnight, Satanic Threat is basically a metal-related hardcore punk side project and yet another vehicle for these musicians to be blasphemous and incredibly entertaining at the same time. "In To Hell", while promoted as an LP is in reality a collection of the eponymous EP from 2008 and eight live tracks.

Musically, we are dealing with straightforward hardcore punk with a couple of metal elements every now and then. Musically, Satanic Threat has nothing in common with Nunslaughter and only very little in common with Midnight, so fans of those bands should not expect a new Nunslaughter- or Midnight-album. In stead, they can expect fast and furious music, driven by what seems to be burning hatred towards all things Christian. The lyrics are abrasive and blasphemous, and very entertaining.

The original eight tracks from the 2008-EP have a raw quality to them which suits the straightforward noisy music perfect, but the production is by no means unlistenable. The live tracks, which sound like they were performed at a very chaotic show, are of a much rawer production quality and might not appeal to everyone. Then again, it is indeed interesting to hear both the studio versions and the live versions.

Christians beware - the Satanic Threat has returned!
