Vobiscum
"The Carpenter" is not necessarily a "CD" of "Nightwish", contains only one track from the band which also gives name to the work. Three bands Finnic launched a "Split". "Nightwish", "Children Of Bodom" and "Thy Serpent".

"The Carpenter" is part of the album "Angels Fall First", the first of "Nightwish". The song is sung mainly by its leader and keyboardist, "Tuomas Holopainen." The music is slow, cadenced. Although he has no power in his voice, "Tuomas" not enough to sing badly. If it is not an excellent singer, at least on the keyboard can have more prominence.

"Children of Bodom" comes next with the song, "Red Light In My Eyes, Pt II" from his album "Something Wild", released the same year that "Angels Fall First", 1997. A much heavier music and work than "The Carpenter", screaming vocals, keyboards and dueling guitars, double bass battery. The keyboard stands, "Janne" Warman "Wirman."

Finally, "Thy Serpent" with the song "Only Dust Moves ..." from the album "Forests of Witchery", released in 1996. The sound is quite different from "Nightwish". The proposed "Thy Serpent" is "symphonic black metal." "Only Dust Moves ..." in particular is slow and slurred, remembering something more "doom metal".

"Spinefarm Records" was the record of these three bands and chose a song from each band for promotion. The sound of each is quite different. There is not much to hear here, except to one who is a big fan of one of three bands and want to have the material as an item in the collection.
