"Scion A/S Presents: Municipal Waste" is an EP release by US crossover/thrash metal act Municipal Waste. The EP was released through Scion A/V in April 2012 and made available for free download on the Scion A/V website.
"Scion A/S Presents: Municipal Waste" features 2 tracks and a full playing time of 3:42 minutes. "Repossesion" is a track that´s also featured on the, at the time forthcoming studio album "The Fatal Feast (Waste in Space)", which was released only 7 days after the EP. "Garbage Stomp / Poser Disposer" is an unreleased track from 2002 and compared to the powerful and thrashing "Repossesion", it´s not at all as interesting. Both are furiosly fast paced (with the occasional mid-paced thrashy breakdown) crossover thrash tracks, with aggressive sneering vocals, slightly punked thrashy riffing and a display of relentless energy.
While such a short EP is not the best representation of a band, it´s still a nice and free opportunity to have a quick listen and see if Municipal Waste is something you´d like to dig a little deeper into. A 3 star (60%) rating is warranted.
