UMUR "Advance Cassette - Into the Grave" is an advance cassette tape copy release by Swedish death metal act Grave of their debut full-length studio album "Into the Grave" (Century Media Records, August 1991). It was released through Century Media Records and was strictly meant for promotional purposes and it was solely distributed to metal zines and radio stations to promote the forthcoming release of "Into the Grave". It was not unusual in those days that labels sent out advance copies of releases for promotion purposes and this is just an example of that. The advance copy of "Into the Grave" only exists on cassette tape.

The advance copy of "Into the Grave" features the exact same 11 tracks as the regular album, but they are presented here in a different tracklist format with "Inhuman" as the opening track in stead of "Deformed". Most of the tracks are actually placed differently on the advance copy.

Other than that this is today just a hardcore collector´s item. As you get exactly the same material on the regular version of "Into the Grave", which has also been released in all formats and platforms and not only on cassette tape, it makes the advance copy pretty redundant today. Still the quality of the material is still high and a 3.5 star (70%) rating is deserved.
